Coffee and Fellowship 8:15ish
What can you expect at a typical Sunday at Calvary? We have a time of coffee and fellowship in the fellowship hall that begins 8:15ish. Here you have a chance to meet others and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee or juice with doughnuts or pastries.
Worship: Sunday 8:45
The worship service begins at 8:45 in the main sanctuary. You can expect a worship service that has elements of traditional liturgy, but not the high church liturgy of our previous Methodist ancestors. Since our worship style is friendly and relaxed feel free to dress casually. If you enjoy wearing your Sunday best, that's okay too. You will be welcomed into a family frendly fellowship that will assist you in sharing in the love and praise of God. We celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion the first Sunday of each month.
Sunday School 9:45ish
After the worship service, you are invited to join the Sunday School Fellowship Group. The Sunday School Fellowship Group meets ten minutes or so after worship and usually starts about 9:45ish. The Sunday School Group offers a place for deeper exploration of the Biblical text. It also encourages one to a deeper level of discipleship and love for both Christ and the world.
Now That It's Over?
Now that worship and Sunday School are over you have the rest of the day to enjoy as a sabbath gift from God. Our morning usually concludes by 11:00. But is it really over? No! In fact, it is just beginning. We invite you to engage in daily payer and Bible study during the week as part of your spiritually formative life of discipleship. We have various Bible study groups that meet during the week throughout the fall and spring semesters. Head on over to our Bible Studies link at the top of the page for more information.
